Info:

A mainly self taught photographer Paul Bourdice’s educational background is in literary and language studies. Consequently he is as much influenced by verbal images as by the work of other photographers. It is also for this reason that he puts a strong emphasis on the principle that there should be nothing in a photograph that is superflous to the image.

Paul regards photography, like life, to be a perpetual learning process and is happy to see his style go through changes. Exactly 100 years after Picasso’s first great painting he is aware that there is long way to go before he catches up with the past. Meanwhile there is plenty of scope for exploration and experimentation to keep him engaged.

Photos on this site have been used for a variety of commercial purposes from crime novel book covers to company annual reports (no relation). Ironically the best selling images do not appear on the site since they were considered too unremarkable to be worthy of showcasing.

Interesting commissions are welcome, especially off-beat ones.
